We comply with current security requirements. When you enter sensitive information, the page is protected (encrypted). When you pay, it happens via a system called SSL on a protected server at Wannafind.dk, which merely transmits the encrypted data to PBS. PBS is the only one who can read your personal card information. The system is continuously tested to provide you with security.
Your card number and expiry date are not stored on our web server. We can only see who you are, what you have ordered, and whether your payment has been accepted by PBS.
Force Majeure and oil surcharge
Force majeure and oil surcharge are two concepts that are often linked in the transport and logistics industry during periods of great uncertainty, such as the war in Ukraine & the Middle East, where energy costs increase drastically and unpredictably.
When oil prices increase dramatically and unpredictably as a direct consequence of events outside Christiansøfarten's control (e.g. war, sanctions), the situation can be described as force majeure-like.
An oil surcharge is an additional fee that Christiansøfarten charges to cover fluctuations in fuel prices.
Oil surcharges can be introduced with 14 days' notice, but force majeure situations may necessitate faster changes.
If an oil surcharge comes into effect, this will be adjusted at the end of each month and added to the ticket price.
